APEMETA– Portuguese Association of Environmental Technology Companies has a Quality Management System (QMS) certified by the NP EN ISO 9001: 2008.

APEMETA’s Quality Management System (QMS) covers the following activities in “Providing Support Services for both associate and non-associate companies”:

  1. APEMETA’s seminars/workshops/meetings;
  2. APEMETA training activities;
  3. Specialised information;
  4. Dissemination of the sector/companies;
  5. Assistance to projects;
  6. Technical assistance;
  7. Legal support;
  8. Management support;
  9. Supporting employability;
  10. Supporting internationalization.

Quality policy:
Apart from the image of quality that APEMETA – Portuguese Association of Environmental Technology Companies has won, and taking into account its public service, relevance and experience in the environmental sector, the business sector it represents, it aims to increase its representativeness and increase public recognition of its role as a key player in the business sector related to the Environment, working to carry out continuous improvement in the quality of its services in order to provide better service thus satisfying fully the needs, requirements and expectations of its customers (members and non-members) as well as achieving the goals of the association.

APEMETA recognizes that quality is essential for increasing its representativeness and effectiveness of its intervention with the associate firm, in order to achieve a greater consolidation in the Environment industry, and should, therefore, focus its efforts on the following principles:

  1. Definition of development strategies and greater strategic capacity in support of member companies;
  2. Defining objectives consistent with the quality policy;
  3. Priority to the quality component;
  4. Concern for customer satisfaction (member and non-member) and meeting deadlines.

The association aims to achieve these objectives by:

  1. Proper planning of its activities and the rational use of available resources;
  2. Qualifying, training and continuous updating of its personnel;
  3. Participation and commitment from its employees;
  4. Concern for continuous improvement and awareness rising;
  5. Compliance with requirements and satisfying customer expectations (with associates and non-partners);
  6. Suitable work environment;
  7. Implementation, maintenance and control of a Quality Management System adequate to the organization.

These points are described and are part of the Quality Management System, such as the APEMETA Quality Manual. Its compliance is a deep commitment of the management.
