APEMETA’s new associate
 

Last May th 28th, EGSRA – Association of Waste Management Systems Companies was approved as a new APEMETA associate.

EGSRA – Association of Waste Management Systems Companies has the mission of promoting the interests of its members in relation to the management and operation of waste treatment systems, as well as the strategic development in regard to researching resources that preserve and potentiate the country in terms of its economic and cultural development.

In the European context, EGSRA is responsible for representing Portugal in MWE (Municipal Waste Europe).

The only nationwide association in the industry, EGSRA represents an area of 38,102 km2 (41% of the national total) and a population of almost four million inhabitants (36% of the national total), corresponding to about 1.72 million tons of waste per year, produced in the municipalities that make up the area of intervention of its members: Ambilital, Ambisousa, Braval, Ecobeirão, Ecolezíria, Gesamb, Lipor, Musami, Resialentejo, Resíduos do Nordeste, Resitejo e Teramb.
